Strategic Partnership by Long-Term OCTG and Related Service Contract with Statoil


Nippon Steel & Sumitomo Metal Corporation (head office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President: Kosei Shindo; hereinafter, “NSSMC”), together with Sumitomo Corporation (head office: Chuo-ku, Tokyo; President & CEO: Kuniharu Nakamura) have supplied OCTG (oil country tubular goods) and related service for Statoil Petroleum AS (head office: Kingdom of Norway, CEO:Eldar Sætre, hereinafter “Statoil”) over 30 years throughout the long term relations and strategic partnership.

Statoil, NSSMC and SC renewed the Supply of OCTG and Related Services Contract, which will last maximum until 2024. Statoil highly values our stable supply of high-performance OCTG, development of new products that match the operational needs and the solid delivery service by SC with supply chain management (SCM) program.

By enhancing the strategic partnership with Statoil, NSSMC and SC will continue to support Statoil’s efficient and lower environmental impact operations, contributing to the stable energy supply of the world.
