Please be Cautious of Fraudulent Emails Attempting to Capture Personal Information

It has been brought to our attention that fraudulent emails claiming to come from Nippon Steel & Sumitomo Metal Corporation (“NSSMC”) were sent to individuals and encouraged them to a “phishing” website attempting to capture personal information such as passwords. Please refer to an example of the fraudulent emails described below and be cautious of such fraudulent emails.

When you move a mouse over a URL on the email, the URL which is different from the text displayed on the email will pop up. Please DO NOT click this kind of URL. Clicking such URL may take you to a fraudulent website which has no relation to NSSMC.
