Customer Evaluation

JGC Corporation applied technology of SAT-in Pile Foundation to pillar-to-pile joint structure (structure via steel socket (stub joint)) of the Ichthys LNG Project.
The elimination of footings reduced the amount of work required for on-site foundation construction (excavation, steel bar works, formwork, etc.),and despite long rainy season and labour shortages in the area, the foundation work was completed on schedule, and this was evaluated as having cost benefits.
In addition this method is expected to be applied in cases where poor ground conditions require pile foundations, or where it is difficult to construct bored piles in areas with high rainfall.
