An announcement was made on March 2, 2012 that Mr. Junji Uchida would retire as Director, Member of the Board of Nippon Steel Corporation at the end of 88th Annual Shareholders Meeting scheduled to be held in late June 2012.
This is to announce that Mr. Junji Uchida has been nominated for the position of the Representative Director and President of OSAKA STEEL CO., LTD. in late June 2012.
