Installation of the No.3 Metal Coating Line in NS BlueScope (Thailand) Limited

NS BlueScope Coated Products, which is a 50/50 joint venture of Nippon Steel & Sumitomo Metal Corporation (President：Kosei Shindo, hereinafter “NSSMC” Group) and BlueScope Steel Limited, Australia (CEO: Paul O’Malley, hereinafter “BSL”) focusing on coated products business (hot-dip galvanized steel sheets, painted steel sheets and roll-formed building products) in Southeast Asia and the U.S., has decided to install the No.3 Metal Coating Line in NS BlueScope (Thailand) Limited, a subsidiary of NS BlueScope Coated Products, and enhance production capacity of zinc/aluminum (55%) hot-dip alloy coated steel and painted steel to capture growing demand of the building and construction market in Thailand.
NS BlueScope (Thailand) further strengthens the responsiveness to the needs of customers in the building and construction market and provides more value-added products and services.

(1) Investment:	Approximately 125 million USD including working capital 　　　　(Approximately 12.5 billion JPY)
(2) Production capacity:	140,000 tons/year
(3) Production category:	Zinc/aluminum (55%) hot-dip alloy coated steel and painted steel
