and
Fuji Iron & Steel Co.,ltd was established

CY1970Yawata Iron & Steel and Fuji Iron & Steel
merged to form Nippon Steel Corporation.
CY1949Shin-Fuso Metal Industries, Ltd.
was established.

CY1952Shin-Fuso Metal Industries, Ltd. changed name to
Sumitomo Metal Industries, Ltd.
